For those who claim that a loving God & the suffering of good people are contradictory presuppositions, what..?

exactly. why does one not assume that a loving Creator whose ways are above ours doesn't have a purpose for our suffering. i have suffered and it brought me to God. i would hardly say it was suffering because of that.
