What is life in California like? knowledgeable answers please?

i live in a beach city, its in southern califronia. Venice beach has alot of homeless people, same with hollywood. movies just dont show them. long beach has some nice parts but theres a large poor population. i suggest moving to the south bay area, so that would be redondo beach, mantattan beach,hermosa beach, and torrance. they are nice and so is santa monica. right now its about 73 degrees. its been really cool for the past year, its weird. Its pretty slow moving and calmer than new york. i visited there and EVERYONE is on the sidewalks. you dont see many people walk places. most people hae cars here.
