I know everyone's pain tolerance is different, but how much does an industrial piercing hurt...in general?

I guess I can say I have a high pain tolerance. I have been pinching my cartilage really hard to see if it hurts, but I know that's not the same as having a needle shoved through it. Also how long does the feeling of stinging last. I'm not talking about the throbbing pain that you feel for many months, but the pain of the needle. Also, is the industrial worth the pain, because I think they look really cool and I've been wanting one for awhile now. I have not had a cartilage piercing before or any other piercings besides my lobe so please don't compare the pain with other piercings. Thank you :)
