Sequel to American History X?

It's been a while since I watched the movie but I got the impression the person he hated most is himself. His lifestyle -- racism and hatred -- is what led to the death of his brother. My guess is he ends up as a hollow, drunken shell of a man blaming himself for his brother's death.
