I got stung by a red wasp last night, nd it STILL hurts! Is it normal?

I stepped on one walking through my house... nd it hurt like hell for a second- then like it faded some... but still hurt...nd it STILL hurts today, when I walk on that foot... How long until it goes away? nd NO I didn't get the stinger out, because there wasnt one. So yeah..
